HOGHAN is a consultancy agency and distribution company specialising in design, arts and luxury products.
Our services range from one-time collaboration projects, consulting Japanese brands on their strategy in Europe and vice versa, to the full-scale distribution of brands in form of a long-term cooperation.
We have selected the brands in our portfolio according to our underlying mission of spreading products generated by the unique Japanese design culture to the European market. The brands in our portfolio are not always expensive but qualify as modern luxury goods as they represent
- Good Japanese contemporary design
- Handicraft that carry the spirit of Japanese „Monozukuri“, a traditional craftsmanship philosophy – in times of mass-production
- Brands with a unique story that enrich the daily life
In this respect, we work with our brands the same way art galleries work with their artists. This involves starting with a brand from the beginning, building awareness, fine-tuning the image, communicating the value, connecting the brand with its potential customers and building a trusted relationship.
We operate from Paris with a network of highly capable agents across Europe.
Our customers are some of the most renowned retailers/institutions from design to fashion such as:
Colette, Selfridges, Harrods, Liberty’s, Conran Shop, Galeries Lafayette, Le Bon Marché, Printemps, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Firmament, Caliroots, The Rudai, The Bureau, End Clothing, Sunspel, Matches Fashion, LeFix, LaPrincipal, LN-CC, Opumo, Papier Tigre, store.wallpaper, Club21, GoodManners, Archive1820, 18 Montrose, Mr Porter, Kadewe, Rinascente, G&B, Marc Le Bihan, WalterS, Bows&Arrows….
Being a link between Japan and the rest of the world is something we pride ourselves in: we have vast experience bringing western brands to Japan and vice versa.
In September 2016, Hoghan opened „Bows & Arrows“, which is both a showroom for buyers and a concept store for Parisians and visitors. Half of the store serves as a gallery space dedicated to showing upcoming Japanese artists or promoting new Japanese brands as well as the hosting of cultural events.
